PRP in Hospital Sungai Buloh

Hi guys. I’m writing this just for my own diary & would like to share to you my experiences working as a PRP in Hospital Sungai Buloh. I’ll try to update this blog weekly. Lets see how it goes.

Week 1 - lapor diri & orientasi

Day 1: 28/2/2022

-lapor diri @ Drug Info Services (DIS) @ ground floor near punch card area

-since it’s COVID-19 now, we have to do RTK test with the RTK test given. & need to replace them afterwards with the exact same brand


-went to Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) @ level 8 to do Mantoux test (screening test for TB). They will inject ur lower arm with antiTb. U r not allowed to let any bodywash/lotion to spread to the area. Have to comeback to OSH on day 4 (Thursday) to get the result 

-went to hospital admin office @ level 2. Just give them the surat tawaran KKM and they will give u lots of borang & checklist that u have to submit in a week

-return to pharmacy admin office @ ground floor near DIS. Kak timah will assist u 💯 in completing all the documents required. She even help u make copies on the spot if u have any documents that are not enough 

-have also fill all docs required for sticker staff for car, access card, name stamp & nametag

-bring all of your documents that u have prepared beforehand according to the checklist in surat tawaran KKM

-❗️make extra copies for all of it. Here is the list that we have to follow

-Pn Dalila (PF incharge of all PRP) will brief u about the PRP in that hospital 

-basically our day 1 include briefing & settle documents only 😅

-also currently we only have 2 “main” cafe in the hospital. One is nearby public parking area (only have few kedai buka inside the cafe. I checked cuma ada kedai lauk, kedai roti canai2/toast and kedai air. In front of the cafe ada mini mart. 

-the other cafe is on level 2, to reach here u have to go across a bridge. Under the bridge u can see water fountain. And besides the water fountain is our OPD. This cafe also provides lauk & besides the cafe is a mini mart.

Day 2: 1/3/2022

-i started my rotation in OPD. The PF incharge that day was Pn Dyana. 

-basically all i do that day is filling prescriptions. U will be familiar at the end of the day with  the grouping of drugs. Basically they arranged the drug according to drug group eg antihistamine, syrup, inhaler, injections, antibiotics, antipsychotics, HAART therapy for HIV, derms. 

-❗️for me, it’s important if u work @ retail pharmacy first / learn during ur intern at retail pharmacy about the classes of drug. So this will make it easier for u to remember what the drug is for & the location 

-u can also fill prescriptions with DD. make sure to write how many qty u take inside the DD record book. ❗️This is one of the requirements inside logbook. U can take pic of the DD label to keep as ur record/reference to count how many DD u have fill that day. Eg of DD label

Day 3: 2/3/2022

-we have a lot of VAS types here. This includes 

>SPUB: transfer of medication to other hospitals bcs the patients preferred that hospital 

>UMP: ubat melalui pos 

>others, which at the moment i tak exposed lg

-so in the morning i buat SPUB. Basically it’s just the same with OPD. Filling prescription. But we put inside different basket and keep it seperated from OPD basket. So PRP task is only to fill the prescription. Verify, counter checking & put medications inside Poslaju parcel will be PF’s task.

-after lunch, i get to tag with senior PRP at the dispense counter 

>Tag meaning: observing while learning what they’re doing.

>basically tagging means u kena belajar about how to do ur job @ that department before u rotate at that department. For eg if next i will be dispensing medications to patients, so this week i have to tag the senior prp @dispense kaunter to observe them how they use the eHIS system, how they talked to patients, how they dispense & how they answers questions

-in OPD we have two shift 

> 7.30am - 4.30pm: by 7.15am have to arrive @ OPD to do opening. Such as switch on all pc, doors, shutter @ dispense counter bcs 7.30am we already open OPD

> 8.30am - 5.30pm: do closing such as switch off all PC etc, make sure all the doors r locked & shutters down

Life update!

Hi guys!

It’s 2020. In case you haven’t heard it’s the year of complete bullshit (read: corona virus). So hey, I’m 24 now! The last time i wrote here was...I can’t even remember. So i just wanted to update my life to you guys hehe.

1. I'm currently in sem 6. 2 more semesters to go. And currently we are having online class due to the corona virus.

2. I am currently 61kg. It is SO FREAKING TOUGH for me to reach 60kg. I swear during new years 2020 i was already reaching 60kg. It’s so near but so far, you get me?

3. Oh it’s ramadan now. 4.35 am. I am currently waiting for my mom to wake me up for sahur

4. Life’s good.

You don’t have to worry anything okay? I got you, nad ❤️

Update: new year resolution

On January 3rd 2018 i made list of my new year's resolution

And here's an update. And U R GOING TO HATE IT NAD

1. As always, no rice, no burger. Limit my carbohydrates ((who am i joking!!! I regularly ate rice now! Bhahaha. I ate nasi beriyani today, nasi lauk for lunch yesterday, nasi at Vicchuda for dinner yesterday, and nasi with delicious ikan siakap thai style few days ago))

2. Fast food only once a month. I had my January mcd just now ((this is also a joke!!! I had multiple mcds and burger king for the past month!!!))

3. 55kg!!!! Going to gym, getting out of the comfort zone nad ((idk gais i am still scared to go out and experienced the gym :'( ))

4. Dean's list, strive harder

5. Solat 5 waktu sehari semalam allahu

6. AlMulk every night. I already skip for this 2 of Jan. Nad why ((nad why u skipped al mulk! I hate u. I had the al mulk routine during my final exam and now it's semester break and you gonna give the almulk a break too???))

7. Less hate! ((good job))

8. Stop bad mouthing
9. See things in positive side ((good job))

10. Dont give up easily ((good job))

11. Boys R NOT everything ((good job))

12. Less shopping?

13. Skincare routine! ((good job))

14. Less cursing

better me

I selalu je nak berubah. Bila tengok tudung tutorial kat youtube and the model tunjuk the style yg labuh like labuh gila, selalu terdetik kat hati i, I'll look good like this. Maybe i should try this style

Or maybe not

I usually thought, our appearance is our own self reflection

If inner me is actually jahat, like you know busuk hati and suka gosip mengumpat mencarut etc then it will be no use if i nak pakai macam tu

So i guess i need to change my inner self first

That's why from 28 Jan 2018. I started this no mencarut for a year challenge

Coz sampai bila i nak mencarut kan?

Sampai kahwin? Sampai ada anak?

I recently had a conversation with farid on whatsapp. And i usually mencarut dekat dia cos he's funny?

But i successfully tak mencarut langsung td

It's good

It's time to change nad.

Idk whats going on with me lately. I had late night thoughts everyday. And i will be overthinking about the simplest shit and i will get sad for no reason. I cried for a few days now. I kinda hate myself. Not kinda. I fucking hate myself. Im faken useless. Im better off dead.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!!

usually I'll make a list of new year resolutions few days before 1st Jan of the new year. this year, I'll make the list on the 3rd. Getting lazier. This is not a good start --'

Okay so here we go. New hope, new dreams and new goals to achieve.

Life updates

Hi guys. So I deleted some of my blog posts bcs the content was not something useful i guess? So anyways in case any of yall wondering, I am now pursuing my degree in Bachelor of Pharmacy in UiTM Puncak Alam. In fact, now tgh study week. I had like exactly 14 days before the first paper starts. And basically i dont know what im doing...

I realised that studying last minute was my kinda forte, back in high school and diploma years. When i was in high school, i dont understand a single thing on Chemistry, and i studied last minute (very last minute) but i successfully understand the topic and scored well.

Dekat diploma pun camtu. Tak paham. Study last minit. Skor.

But this time, it's different. People have been telling me degree is like the hardest phase of your life. At first, i thought i can prove them wrong. I mean, studying last minute is my forte right?

Nope. It doesn't work that way now, Nad. I do make some changes the way i studied. I make my own notes (depends on the chapter), i studied at nights etc.

I memorise. Every single thing. Even in diploma, i studied calculus. i dont understand a single thing. I hate maths. i thought i was gonna fail that paper. Even during my test 2, i wrote a small note in the corner of my exam sheet, something like, "dear lecturer, im sorry im not doing well throughout this course, but pls know that im trying my best to improve". the lecturer later replied my note, by saying she prayed for me and she wished me good luck.

I ended up scoring the paper. By memorising the method. 

So...

Actually, im kinda fucked up.

Because there's a few courses that really need my understanding to answer the questions. I need to apply what i have studied. which i dont usually do.

I dont apply. I dont know how to.

Wish me luck.

I am still aiming for the dean's list, though.
